ISLAMIC, Mongols. Golden Horde. Berke, AH 655-665 / AD 1257-1267. Yarmak (Silver, 22 mm, 2.08 g), Qarim (Crimea), probably AH 664 = 1265/6. Citing his title within a circle, ‘pādshāh-i / Islām Nuṣrat / al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn’ (‘The king of Islam, Nusrat al-Dunya wa al-Din’ in Persian). Rev. Tamgha within a circle, ‘ḍarb / Qarīm’ (‘Struck in Qarim’ in Persian); in the margin, ‘mubārak bāshad īn sāl …’ (‘May this year be fortunate …’ in Persian). Album 2019G. Sagdeeva 6. Very rare and nicely toned. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
